The outer integument cells of Doritis pulcherrima are keeping well after 38 days of pollination. But the inner integument cells begin degeneration that the chromatin of nucleus condense, the cristae of mitochondria reduce or even lost, the amount of ribosome on endoplasmic reticulum decrease, and the number of vacuoles in which obtained membrane and something like degenerated organelle structures increase, but the karyotheca keep integrated. The degeneration of the inner integument cells is similar to the programmed cell death.
