Unit 5 My clothes Part A 教案 Teaching objectives: ① Students can read and spell the new words, and master the meaning of the seven new word. ② Students can use “what’s this? ” and “what color is it/are they?”to make conversations. ③ Students can use the structure“I like the…with the…” to make dialogues correctly and perform them. Teaching contents: Seven new words about clothes( skirt, shirt, T-shirt, dress, pants, shorts, shoes) Focuses: Pronunciations, spellings and meanings of the words. Difficult points: ① The plural forms of “pant, short, shoe” ②The usage of “with” in the sentence “I like the…with the…” Teaching procedures : Step1: review Teacher’s activities: ① Did you remember the color words we have learnt last class? ② Show students the color pictures and ask them to answer “What colors are they?” Students’ activities: Look at the pictures and answer the question like this “They are…” Teaching thought: Review the color words which will be used in the following teaching. Step2: Presentation Teacher’s activities: ① Show students the pictures of the seven new words one by one and ask students “what’s this in Chinese?” Then teach students the new words. ② Show students the pictures of the seven words together and ask students to read after the teacher. ③ Explain why “pant, short and shoe” should use the plural forms. Students’ activities: Look at the pictures and repeat each word three times in chorus. Teaching thought: Ask students to read the words again so that they can read them correctly and understand their meanings clearly. Step 3: Practice Teacher’s activities: ① Show students a picture of “shirt”, then ask the questions “What’s this in English?”and “what color is it?” They may answer like this “It’s a shirt. / It’s red.” ② Invite four students to answer the questions above. Students’ activities: Look at the pictures and answer the questions. Teaching thought: ①Give students an example so that they
