T e results s owed t at formalde yde could not only cause DNA strand breakage but also DNADNA, DNAprotein crosslinks of lymp ocytes of uman perip eral blood. T e reaction of formalde ydewit DNA in vitro is weak, but t e oxidative ability is en anced and t e reaction could produce a number of 8OHdG adducts mediated by t e Fe2+ . T e animal experiment s owed t at formalde yde could cause t e oxidative DNA damage of rat lung tissues, w ic suggested t at formalde yde ave t e stronger genotoxicity.
