Simulation and Effects on Flotation of Solubility of Magnesium
Carbonate Minerals

Abstract: The solubilit of magnesium carbonate minerals affects the flotation process. The
solubilit of magnesite and dolomite in w ater w as simulated b PHREEQC software. The results
showed that the effect of temperature on the solubilit of magnesite and dolomite is different .
When the solution pH is 11, the lowest solubilit of magnesite and dolomite are 12148mg/ L and
10105 mg/ L, respectivel . Most of the metal cations and inorganic anions ex cept for positional
ions increase the solubilit . In the same solution, the solubilit of magnesite and dolomite are
14103 mg/ L and 3116 mg/ L w hen the dissolution is in equilibrium. In dodec lamine flotation
s stem , reducing the solubilit of mineral is helpful to the flotation process
