-- -- 定语从句 一、 相关概念 定语从句： 在复合句中， 放在名词或者代词之后， 修饰该名词或者代词的句子叫做定语 从句。 关系词：引导定语从句的词叫关系词 先行词：被定语从句修饰的名词或代词叫先行词。 例：（ 1） The boy is Tom. The boy is reading. 合并成一句话： The boy who is reading is Tom. 2 ）The building is teaching building. The building is tall. 合并成一句话： The building which is tall is teaching building. ※ 小结：关系词的作用——代替先行词，引导定语从句，连接主句和从句。 二、 关系词的分类及使用方法 （一） 关系代词 1、分类 关系代词 指代的先行词 充当的从句成分 Who 人 主语、宾语 Whom 人 宾语 Which 物 主语、宾语 That 人或物 主语、宾语、表语 Whose 人或物 定语 2、基本使用方法 （1） who, whom, whose, that 用法区别 ①who 作从句的主语或者宾语 例句： The man who is speaking at the meeting is my dad.( 作主语 ) She is the girl who I will go to Shanghai with .( 作宾语 ) 练习：获得一等奖的那个女孩来自北京。 刚才和你谈话的人是格林先生。 ②whom作从句宾语 例句： The man whomthey wanted to visit is a teacher. （作宾语） 练习：你批评过得那个男孩子已经改错了。 （批评： criticize ） ③that 可以作定语从句的主语和宾语 例句： The man that is speaking at the meeting is my dad.( 作主语 ) The man that they wanted to visit is a teacher. （作宾语） 练习：飞机就是能飞的机器。 昨天我们看到的那位女士就是格林太太。 ④whose 作定语从句的定语 例句： I know the girlwhose mother is a teacher .( 作定语 ) （代替 the girl ’ s） 练习：我们住在一个窗户朝南的房子里 （2） which ， that 的用法 当先行词是指物的名词或代词的时候，关系代词可以使用 which 或者 that ，在英语从句中 充当主语或者宾语。 例句： This is a truck which/that is made in China . （作主语） I like the book which/that you bought yesterday. （作宾语） 练习：那是我们去年种的树。 那个他正在用的录音机是日本造的。 3、特殊使用方法 1）只能使用 that 的情况①当先行词被序数词或者形容词最高级修饰的时候 例句： Tom is the cleverest boy that I have ever known. This is the first play that I have seen since I came here. 练习：我绝不会忘记我上的第一堂课。 电视塔是去年修的大楼中最高的一栋楼。 ②当先行词被 every, some, no, all, any, little, much 例句： I have read all the books that you lend me . 练习：我们没有太多能向你们提供的东西。  等修饰的时候 ③当先行词是 everything, something, nothing, all, anything, little, much 词的时候 例句： Everything that we saw in this film was true.  等不定代 练习：我想告诉你一些会使你感到惊奇的事情。 ④当先行词被 the only, the very, the same, the last 例句： This is the very book that belongs to him. 练习：这正是我那天晚上睡过的房间。  修饰的时候 ⑤当主句中已经有 which 例句： Who is the girls Which is the machine  或 who的时候 that is standing under the tree that we used last Sunday  ?  ? 练
