AbstractThe Abstract The criticism and correction about Sh／j／in sh(／isuoyin written by Sima Zhen is the most characteristic in Shijisuoyin，which is the only one that can illuminate the contribution of correction and explanation to Sh／ji in Shijisuoyin，which includes the criticism and correction about the pattern of Shqi,the original text and the original explanation．This article wiil express the essential ofthe criticism and correction from the reason，content，method and significance of the eriticism and correction．The first section is about the reason of the criticism and correction，I think the basic reason of the criticism and correction about Shiji by Sima Zhen is that the loss of Sh／j／during the dispersing course and the wishes which Sima Zhen wanted to consummate it．The second section is about the content ofthe criticism and correction，which is the central part ofthis article．This section is divided into three parts to discuss,which consists of the criticism and correction of pattern，original text and original explanation of Sh／ji, each part lists the actual example to discuss from different angies．The third section is about the method of the criticism and correction，this article criticizes and corrects from the actual evidences，the literature(including the latest discovery)，Shfji itself and illation．The fourth section mainly consists of the mistakes which Sima Zhen made during the criticism and correction，including criticizing and correcting shift from the wrong editions，the wrong historical materials and the wrong understanding, the mistakes which Sh／ji itselfhad，as well as the mistakes which Sima Zhen had made during the criticism and correction，and so on．The fifth section is mainly about the significance of the criticism and correction about ShUi which S／ma Zhen had made．In this section，1 will discuss the function of the criticism and correction about Sh,ji by Sim8 Zhen，which includes emending characters，doing textual research，supplying the historical materi
