We wi 11 implement major works on conservation and restoreition of important ecosystcms，and optimizc the ecological sccurity barrier system, and built the biodiversity conservation network. Yunnan province is the most abundant area of biodiversity in China, which is one of the most important focuses of global significanee and the key Ecological Security Barrier in China. Tn view of the status of biodivers ity in Yurin an, the paper discussed of biodiversity conserva tion effectiveness, and analyzed the existing challenges on biodiversity conservation in Yunnan. In addition, biodiversity conservation measures are proposed related to the existing problems and challenges in Yunnan province. Firs tly, in situ protect ion system shoul d be improved, and the cstablishment of the national park system should also be accelerated. Secondly, the ex situ conservation system should be strengthened to make the national strategic biological species and genetic resources better preserved. Fin ally, in order to improve national ecological security, the major projects for biodiversity restoration should be implemented effeetively.
