PAGE PAGE IV Abstract Huang Tao (about 840-911) is a great littérateur as famous as Wei Zhuang, Luo Yin, Du Xunhe in late Tang Dynasty. His style name is“Wenjiang”. This paper takes Huang Taos’s poetry and prose as the research object, which mainly includes Huang Taos’s personal experience, literary association, the poetry, prose and ode(which is called Fu in Chinese) writing. The paper is divided into four parts. Chapter I: Huang Taos’s personal experience. The former researcher had done detailed studies about Huang Tao’s experience. Here the author organizes the main experience of his life on the basis of previous studies in order to analyse his literature works. Huang Tao had undergone many frustrations, who was versatile but succeeded until his 56-year-old after participating the Imperial Examination for more than 20 years. However, the government could not confer him official position because of the war after examinations. He was only appointed as “Si Men Bo Shi” until 899. Emperor Zhaozong had been put under house arrest by eunuch Liu Jishu in 900, resulting in unrest in Chang’an. So Huang Tao went back home Fujian. Huang Tao has been appointed an important position in Wang Shenzhi government since his returning. He gave Wang Shenzhi a lot of advices about governance of Fujian; and Wang Shenzhi attached great importance to these views and adopted so that Huang Tao can achieve his political dreams there. Chapter II: Huang Tao’s literary association. As a famous writer Huang Tao had a wide rang of friends; in some sense, he had a positive impact on literature of Fujian. Firstly, he was the role of leader of Fujian writer. Because Fujian was the steady region governed by Wang Shenzhi, plenty of writers came here for seeking refuge from war. Huang Tao reunite many writers in the influnce of his special political position, communion methods and personal enchantment of his literary achievement. Secondly, Huang Tao was a active person in literature activity. He en
