一． 一． 青岛理工大学工学硕士学位论文 Abstract Wjch the jncrease of number of mines and with implementation of new technologies in exploitation and processing，the increase in environment pollution was evident．High exhaustion of natural resources is having the great impact on survival of mankind on planet Earth．According to incomplete statistics，there are more than 150 kinds of minerals and 8000 mineral mountains in our country,the total amount of ore tailings is 591．7 billion tons which is about 1／3 of all tailings．Great deal of tailing not only take up land with result in wasting resources，but also bring a serious pollution and endanger to mankind and destroy the ecological balance．In the meantime，with the great development and exploitation of the mineral resources，the mineral is increasingly decrease．Though the utilization rate of the mineral tailings in our country is only 7％ currently,in recent years，more and more attention is paid for the efficient using of resources which have great economic and social meaning． The sample used in this experiment came from Yezhuang iron plant in Laiwu with the annual capacity of 125000 tons of iron ore．With the increase of tailings，there is no surplus place in tailing pond to contain the waste materials．Because the iron percentage in this sample is 20．89％，it is the waste to fiU land directly．The main purpose of this research is making use of the iron in tailings． Magnetic separation is most commonly used to separate magnetic materials from a variety of less-magnetic or nonmagnetic material and classified as either high-or low-intensity．Chemical analyses performed by Shandong experiment center of Geology and mineral department found that Hematite have a large number of component in this sample．Acording to particle size and the solids content of the tailing，firstly we choosed low—intensity separation and the iron percentage was 61％in fine materials and production rate was about 3．4％．The tailing then was separated though high-intensity, the iron
