ABSTRACTIt ABSTRACT It provides guarantee for the implement of new ideas of education after Virtual Reality has been introduced to Educational Technology domain．In order to make it more effective in the education application．I discreet it’S media attribute VS．other medias and suggest that it maybe have advantage in the cultivation ofstudents’spatial ability． Spatial ability involves complex and aboard cognition process．In this article，Firstly, I analyze the literatures spatial ability；realize that spatial ability includes three administrative levels：the formation of spatial image，spatial thinking，and spatial creation activity．In the meantime．I abstract them to form system design model of Viaual Environment in which human’S spatial behavior be cultivated．Based on contexts， Then，I choose the content correlating with geometry spatial ability in the new curriculum schedule ofMath to proceed for the research． In the practice，Firstly,I analyze the development character、sex difference as well the strategy in settling spatial task of geometry spatial ability,for the sake of understanding the human spatial behavior model，Then．I break down the chapter—‘‘fjch and colorful world of graphics”in math curriculum of the kalends for the detailed instruction design and build up the simple learning environment--Virtual Geometry Learning System(VGLS)．After using it in the teaching practice and having a Psychological survey,it produces the following result：VGLS has significant effect in the improvement of mental fold、unfold as well as rotation ability of junior high school students，while no significant effect in the improvement of pattern recognition；VGLS has significant effect in the improvement of mental rotation ability of female while has significant effect in the improvement ofmental fold、unfold ability ofmale． For the reference usefulness，I provide ten principles in designing Virtual Environment system for cultivating spatial ability ofthe k吲ends according the literaawes oftheo
