Those are：the germination of western industrial economic thought, the foundation of western industrial economic thought and the formation and development of western industrial economic thought. The article was composed of five parts, and in these parts the author particularly discussed the three stages and their characteristics. In the first part, the article, collecting and analyzing plenty of related data, using the elementary theories of industrial economy, differentiated and analyzed the related concept of industrial economic thought. On the stage of western industrial economic thought, the article discussed the characteristic and divided standard of each stage and pointed out the base of division. In the second part, analyzing lots of economic literatures, the article summarized the state, the role and historical status of germination of western industrial economic thought and tried to point out the emergence and evolution of the thought in this stage. In the third part, the article summarized the previous researches, tried to expound, analyze and summary the industrial economic thought from the perspective of industrial economics and pointed out the influence of the western industrial economic thought in the foundation stage to the establishment of traditional industrial economic theory system. In the forth part, the article, analyzing and summarizing the previous researches, discussed the industrial economic thought in the formation and development stage, pointed out the representative standpoints, views, policies and influence of main schools since the establishment of traditional industrial economic theory system and discussed the developing tendency of industrial economic thought.
