华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract Nietzsche pins the death of Greek tragedy on Euripides, and thinks that it definitely roots in “Internal irreconcilable conflict”. Untimely the conflict refers to the decay of the spirit of the Music as well as the Tragic. By means of the twin concepts, the author will discuss the reasonableness and the unreasonableness of Euripidean tragedy, analyzing how Euripides inherit and deviate from the traditional Greek tragedy. In the introduction, the author will summarize the research results about The Death of Tragedy and The Tragic. The main body of this thesis concludes three parts: Chapter one: The reason why the death of tragedy is so rough and so tragic is the sudden dissociation of Dionysiac Spirit. The tragic chorus unexpectedly loses the deep insight of life, ethics and art. The new tragedy without Dionysian Music which mixed of Dionysian Spirit and Dionysian Wisdom can no longer inspire human life. Chapter two: Euripides deviates from Dionysian Music, while the fairyland of Dionysian Music gives way to the real life, and the Tragic gives way to pessimism. The rhythm, melody and the harmony of tragic chorus in his plays broke our perception of sublime life. The chorus conveys the ideas of Finiteness and Abstinence which are more coincide with Apolline Spirit. Meanwhile，the ideal state of a should be tragic hero becomes a natural and real state. Chapter three: The life consciousness of Euripidean tragedy derives from his perception of the spirit of time, finally his plays fall into a circle of Apolline Spirit. Unintentionally he sets free the Greek Tragedy, with an attitude of resistancehe inherits the life consciousness of Greek Tragedy.
