In order to save the ecological environment in the lower reaches of the Tarim River, as a fundamental purpose that to protect ecological restoration and environmental, the National has implemented a engineering of Tarim River ecological water transporting from 2000. 8 3 During these years, nearly 22.69×10 m ecological water has been successfully delivered to the lower reaches of the Tarim River. There are a lot of positive response and change to the lower reaches of the Tarim River ecological environment.
