Abstract The study of mechanism and curative effect in external treatment on cyclomastopathy Objective To observe and evaluate the exact effect and relative mechanism about external treatment of catgut implantation at acupuncture point on cyclomastopathy and to discuss the possible functional mechanism of it. Method Medical outpatients were divided into 60 cases of treatment group and 58 cases of control group at random.. the therapy group （60 cases) were treated with catgut implantation at acupoint manipulation, the contrast group (58cases) were treated with Chinese crude drug. All of them were diagnosed to three TCM differentiations, the stagnation of liver-qi group, the obstruction of phlem and blood group and the maladjustment of the Chong and Ren group. Thetreatment of the catgut implantation at acupuncture point group is to catgut implantation on points of main points Rugen ， Zusanli and coordination of acupoints Qimen Sanyinjiao Fenglong on breast for 3 months and the way of the drug group is also to take “cyclomastopathy one”orally for 3 months. Record the data from the two groups, establish the database, analyze them by SPSS 16. 0 software package and compare the clinic effect of the catgut implantation at acupuncture point group and the drug group. Conclusions catgut implantation at acupuncture point is an effective method to treat cyclomastopathy, catgut implantation at acupuncture point is a effective way to treat Cyclomastopathy. subject words : cyclomastopathy , external tre
