Abstract Objective: To explore the effect of preoperative visiting on anxiety of patients with surgical operation. Methods: 360 patients undergoing selective operation were randomly divided into two groups with 180 cases in each group, the experiment group and the comparison group.The experiment group includes doctor’s preoperative routine conversation and operating room nurse’s targeted preoperative visiting before the surgery. All the patients will answer the questionnaire voluntarily. However, the comparison group only includes the doctor’s preoperative routine conversation. Analyze two group of patient of their psychological and physiological stress response changes. Results: The experiment group after the interview, the score of anxiety and intraoperative blood pressure, heart rate were significantly lower than the comparison group.The difference was statistically significant (P0.05). Results: Preoperative visiting can reduce the perioperative psychological and physiological reaction of the selective operation patients.
