Teaching aims: Knowledge Objectives: Get the students to use some useful expressions to describe their feelings. Let the students to grasp the basic structure of the composition. Make the students use the writing techniques freely. Ability Objectives: Improve the students’ writing ability and let them master some writing techniques. Train the students ability to work together to correct the compositions. Moral Objectives: Through activities, guide students to learn how to describe their feelings, at the same time express their obligations.? Share past memories and experiences and look ahead to the future. Encourage the students to study hard. II. Teaching important points: Lead the students to write the composition about a person that they want to say thanks. III. Teaching difficult points: Enable the students to master the writing techniques. Step 1. Warming- up  1. Show an electronic album and play an English song ‘Yesterday once more ’.At the same time ,ask some students to recite the poem ‘I remember’. 设计意图:激趣策略,通过观看三年来师生活动的照片,来唤起美好回忆的同时培养学生的学习兴趣。有效提高本节课的学习效率。 Step 2. Presentation Ask the students to use one sentence or an adjective to express their moods at the moment. Lead the students to say out the topic of the composition. 设计意图:创设情境。培养学生运用语言表达自己的真实情感的能力的同时行动宽松愉悦的课堂氛围,让学生有话可说,敢于使用语言。 Step3. Brainstorming  1.Talk about: Who is the person that you want to say thanks? When and where did you first meet the person? ? What did the person do for you ? How did you feel when you met the person? How has the person’s advice changed your life? Why do you want to say thanks to the person? 2.Ask the students to give an oral composition. 3. Read a sample. 设计意图:承上启下。承上,根据问答内容按一定逻辑思路整理出一个初步的写作思路;启下,为下面的习作进行内容方面的积累。 Step 4. Analyze the composition Show the past exam paper。 Review the writing techniques.
