Learning new words Present some pictures about the new words and be clear about the usage of these words. look at the picture and fill in the chart 1a 3. Leading-in Do a guessing game. What does she do? T: She could/might be a/an______ Then write key sentences on the blackboard. Ⅱ. Presentation 1. Teacher shows some pictures. Students observe these pictures and try to fill in the blanks. In order to let students know the usage of these words, such as “can’t”, “might”, “could”, “must” Grammar Focus:表示推测的情态动词 must, could, might.(肯定) can’t(否定) 2. Practice these sentences Is this T-shirt John’s? “Whose … is this? It must be.../ It must belong to…” by situation learning. Attention注意: be sb’s 是某人的 = belong to (sb.) 属于某人 3. Finally, draw up conclusions about the usage of these words, such as “can’t”, “might”, “could”,” must”. Ⅲ. Listening 1b 1.
