ABSTRACT Abstract The principle of Micro PSA （pressure swing adsorption ）oxygen generator producing oxygen is the use of the different adsorption of two major components of the air ：oxygen and nitrogen while in zeolites , and the characteristics that the adsorption capacity varies with the change of the pressure conditions. Under pressurized conditions, nitrogen is adsorbed by the zeolites while oxygen is isolated, and in the case of decompression, Nitrogen desorption make the molecular sieve regenerate. This paper elaborated the entire oxygen generator system, including compressor selection, absorption tower, air route structure, and circuit control system design in details by deep studying the working process of mini-type PSA medical oxygen generator. And on this basis, design and built a test prototype. The prototype has a countdown, and power failure alarm function. It produces oxygen stable with low noise, consistents with relevant national product standards. The pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen generator is widely used to produce oxygen, many factors affect the effect of oxygen pressure swing adsorption process, when the amount of molecular sieve, as well as compressor power consumption is given, in the cycle of oxygen producing process (including: absorption under pressure rising, pressure keeping, desorption while pressure declining ),the length of the pressure swing adsorption cycle, the pressure keeping time, and export flows are three important factors determine the adsorption pressure changes.
