Period Three Section A Grammar focus(3a-3c)
= 1 \* ROMAN I. Analysis of teaching material:
Based on some objects in students’ daily life, this section aims to guide students by looking at some pictures and listening to the tape to learn how to describe the position of objects. Besides, this section aims to enable students to use the sentence structures” Where’s/ where are…? It’s / They’re on/in /under…” and prepositions (in, on, under) which often are used to describe positions.
= 2 \* ROMAN II. Teaching aims and requirements:
1.Get students to use prepositions(on, in, under) properly to describe where things are.
e.g. My keys are on the table.
The tape is in the player.
Your computer game is under your bed.
2.Get students to use “where questions” appropriately to ask sb. where things are.
e.g. A: Where’s the pencil box? B: It’s in the schoolbag.
A: Where are they pens? B: They’re on the teacher’s desk.
III. Important and difficult teaching points
1.Important teaching points:
(1)The use of the following prepositions: in, on, under, behind, in front of, near…
(2)where questions and “yes/no questions”; how to answer ”Is the… in/on/under the …? ”
2.Difficult teaching points:
(1) Enable students to use some prepositions properly to describe where things are;
(2)Enable students to find out what they want by using the sentence pattern” Where’s / Where are…?”

= 1 \* GB2 ⑴Double activities teaching method
= 2 \* GB2 ⑵Question — and — answer activity teaching method.
= 3 \* GB2 ⑶Watch — and — listen activity teaching method
