Step 1: Warming up
(Lead in: Good morning, boys and girls. Do you like watching cartoons? I have a fun cartoon. Do you want to watch it?)
Play a cartoon about transportation
Post-watching: Ask Ss to circle the transportation they hear in the cartoon. (Ask Ss to learn the new words by circling the transportation they hear)
Step 2: Presentation
(Lead in: Today we will learn unit 3 How do you get to school? It’s also about transportation. For me, I usually ride an e-bike to school. How about you? How do you get to school?)
Ask some Ss “How do you get to school?” Then Ss answer the questions according to the screen.(They can choose one of the ways to answer from the ways in the screen)
Then change the first person to the third person. For example, T: How do you get to school, Mary? S: I take the bus to school. T:(ask another student) How does Mary get to school, Tom?S: She takes the bus to school.)
Next, Ask one student to ask another student the question like the teacher. (like this: How do you get to school? I take the car to school. How does he get to school? He takes the car to school.)
Present the sentences in another way. For example, I take the bus to school.= I go to school by bus. Then ask Ss to finish the following sentences in another way.
Step 3 Drill
1. Chain-work: For the first time, ask Ss to ask and answer the question “How do you
get to school?” one by one in a line.
2. Chain-work: For the second
