METHODS The data published by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and Japan Pharmaceutical Association were collected to analyze the current situations of 1 icensed pharmacists in Japan. RESULTSAdvanced pharmaceutical education started ini873 of Meiji Period in Japan. To cultivate qualified pharmacist, it was reformed to 6 years pharmaceutical education system since 2006 which was focusing on cultivating students clinical capacities. Pharmaceutical education system, national licensed pharmacist examination including the requirements for its register, the distributions of licensed pharmacist and salary system of licensed pharmacist in Japan were introduced in this research. CONCLUSION The current situations of licensed pharmacists in Japan are consuItative for the developmenl of 1 icensed pharmacist system in China.
