A fter analysis, it is con sidered that the h igh temp eratu re is due to the govern ing stage steam in let mode. The best so lution to the p rob lem is to change the govern ing stage nozzle set m anner to discon tinuou s and alternating steam in let m anner when the un it op erates under m edium and low load s. The field te st was carried out after the retrofit feasib ility was app roved by W e sthou se Comp any and the demon stration was con ducted.
