Depart ment of Chi nese Medici ne , Dalian U niversity , Dalian 116622, Chi na Abstract :In order to utilize the resource of Grandiflorum reasonably and evaluate the quality of Grandiflorum , the content of platycodin D in different parts of Grandiflorum harvested in spring and autumn were determined by HPLC. The results showed that the content of platycodin D in Grandiflorum harvested in September and October was higher than that harvested in other times. Of various plant parts , the highest content was found in root , little was found in stems and leaves and platycodin D was not detected in flower , fruit and seeds. The HPLC system used a Hypersil column , a mixture of methanol isopropanol (38∶ 62 as the mobile phase. UV absorption was monitored at 210nm. The flow rate was 018mL/min. The assay displayed a good linearity over the concentration range of 0. 1~1. 9μg and the recovery rate was 96. 86%.
