The controversy between Augustine and the Pelagianism was regarded as the last stage of a long debate between Christianity and classical culture. The discussion of the relationship between Augustine and the end of classical culture in contemporary academia has become overwhelming. There are countless studies centered on the controversy between Augustine and the Pelagianism but they are mainly focused on theological, philosophical and historical perspectives, focusing on concepts such as original sin, sexuality, and will. This paper attempts to study the relationship between Christian political philosophy and classical political philosophy through the concept of justice in the controversy between Saint Augustine and Julian of Eclanum. Specifically, this paper will first discuss how Augustine used the concept of justice to transform classical political philosophy. Then it will consider how Julian represents the classical tradition of justice against Augustine. After that, it will examine the fundamental differences between Augustines concept of justice and Julians concept of justice. Finally, it will use the
