Ltd., Japan Abstract: Nagasaki LRT Navigation Promotion Council provides the service named DOKONE. It distributes the location data of the low-floor vehicle operated by Nagasaki Electric Tramway to passengers mobile terminal. This system detects tram and users positions by GPS, and transmits data via 4G network. Users can determine the position of the tram by the map displayed on the mobile terminal. In addition, they can reserve getting on from a specific stop. This service started 2011. We developed a new navigation system for sightseeing that used GPS, Bluetooth and the NFC tag based on DOKONE in 2012. At the ITS World Congress 2013 the council transmitted the HD live motion picture from the tram (Nagasaki) to the convention hall (Tokyo) via the Internet, and operated the location system in other regions.
