AC500_MODBUS_RTU Function Block V1 The AC500_MODBUS_RTU Function Block for the AC500 central units COM1 or/and COM2 can handle up to 128 JOBS with n modbus slaves. The FB can be called in any of the five programing languages. After the definition of the JOBS and DATAs no additional PLC user programm is necessary. It is highly recomanded to use only one FB for a specific interface COM1,2. FB description The AC500_MODBUS_RTU Function Block is delivered as library AC500_MODBUS_RTU_V1.lib. The FB is using internally the FB COM_MOD_MAST from the MODBUS_AC500_V10.lib. The inputs COM_RTU,TIMEOUT_RTU ( direct inputs of the FB ) and SLAVE,FCT, ADDR,NB ( inputs over JOB ) are identical with the corresponding inputs of the COM_MOD_MAST FB. The outputs DONE_RTU,ERR_RTU,ERNO_RTU are identical with the corresponding outputs of the COM_MOD_MAST FB. The input/output DATA_RTU is also identical with the corresponding DATA input/output of the MODMAST FB. Inputs/Outputs of the MODBUS_RTU FB 1) Identical In/Outputs of the AC500_MODBUS_RTU FB with the corresponding In/Outputs of the COM_MOD_MAST FB. COM_RTU (BYTE) Input - see COM_MOD_MAST description COM is the Modbus Master interface ( COM1,2). TIMEOUT_RTU (WORD) Input - see COM_MOD_MAST description DONE (BOOL) Output - see COM_MOD_MAST description DONE is the working status of the FB. ERR_RTU (BOOL) Output - see MODMAST description ERR shows errors during the communication. ERNO_RTU (WORD) Output - see MODMAST description ERNO shows the kind of error. 2) Specifical In/Outputs of the AC500_MODBUS_RTU Function Block. ENABLE_RTU (BOOL) - Input ENABLE_RTU=TRUE : all the projected JOBS between JOB_START_RTU and JOB_END_RTU will be executed with maximum polling rate. The order of the jobs is JOB_START_RTU...JOB_END_RTU, JOB_START_RTU...JOB_END_RTU... ENABLE_RTU=FALSE : the chain stops at the actual JOB.
