The line graphs compare the typical daily dema nds for electricity in win ter and summer in En gla nd. As can be see n, the electricity con sumpti on in win ter almost doubles that in summer at any give n mome nt of a day. The former waves between 30,000 and 45,000 units, while the latter fluctuates between 13,000 and 20,000 un its. Their developme nt trends see more similarities tha n differe nces. From 0 to 9 o lock, both curves move gen erally dow nward to the lowest points of more than 30,000 units and 13,000 units, and from then on, the two lines go roughly upwards, respectively to the highest amount of 45,000 un its at 21 oclock and more than 20,000 units at 13 o lock. The pie chart reflects an average household use of electricity in En gla nd. Heati ng for both room and water acco unts for the biggest share of more tha n half. The other half of electricity is almost eve nly used for three sect ions: ove ns, kettles, washing machines; lighting, Tv, radio; and vacuum cleaners, food mixers, electric tools. The first sect ion con sumes a little bit higher of 17.5% while the rest two have an equal share of 15%.
