Unit 1 I went there last year.
一、教学目标:
(一)知识目标:
1、能听说认读单词或短语:west, parents, stay, July, south, remember, June;
2、能听懂并使用句型:We went there last year. Did you go with your parents? Yes, I did. I went to... It’s in the ... of China.
(二)能力目标:
1、能在情境中用所学句型来谈论旅游经历。
2、能用It’s in the ...of China. 描述城市方位。
(三)情感目标:
通过学习使学生有兴趣听说英语,敢于开口,乐于模仿,在小组活动中积极参与,在鼓励性评价中树立信心。开拓学生视野,增长人文地理知识,激发学生热爱祖国大好河山的思想感情。
二、教学重点、难点:
1、重点:能听说认读重点难词、短语以及学习主要句型。
2、难点:在真实的语境中熟练运用所学知识来谈论自己和他人的旅游经历及方位。

教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
Greetings
Sing a song “Where did you go?”
Step 2 Leading in
Watch a video about beautiful China. Then ask and answer the question: where did you go for your holiday?
Tell the students: There are lots of places to China.
Step 3 Presentation
Show the photo from the text, tell the students Lingling is at Amy’s home and they are talking about Lingling’s travel. Show the question:Where did lingling go? Watch the video and find the answer.
Ask the students about the last question and get the answer: Ling went to Xinjiang. Then watch a short video about Xinjiang.
Ask the students: Do you know where is Xinjiang? (PPT呈现中国地图)Tell the students Xinjiang is in the west of China. Learn the new word “west”. Practise: Where is Beijing/Shanghai? It’s in the north/east of China.
Show another two questions: (1) When did Lingling go to Xinjiang? (2)Who did she go with? Watch the video again and answer the questions. Then let the students read the text by themselves and then find the answer to the third question: How long did she stay in Xinjiang? Learn the new words: stay, July and practice them.
From the first photo we know that Lingling went to Xinjiang with her parents and they stayed with her grandma for a week in July. Let’s look at another photo. Ask the question: Who are they? Get the answer: They are Lingling’s uncle and cousins. Ask the question: Where does Lingling’s uncle live? Watch the video and find the answer.
