Listen to the song 《Weather Song》 Step2 Presentation Show pictures of different weather to learn the new words: sunny cloudy windy rainy snowy Ask the students to finish 1a, then check the answers. Step3 Game Show some pictures on the big screen, ask the students“How’s the weather?” Students guess and answer the questions. Step4 Listening Show the world map on the screen to learn the city names in 1b Play the tape for the students , let them listen and finish 1b. Step5 Pair work Make a model with a student like this: T: Hi! How’s the weather in Beijing? S: It’s sunny. Students work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. Step6 Listening Show some pictures on the screen, let students ask and answer in pairs: What’s he/she doing? He/She is…… Ask students to look at 2a, and tell each person is doing in each picture. Play the recording for the students to finish 2a. Play the tape for students to check the answers Brainstorming Play the tape for another time, then do a memory test. Ask student: What’s Uncle Joe/ Mary/ Jeff/ Aunt Sally doing? Is Jeff watching TV? Etc. Let the students finish 2b Play the tape again, let them listen and check the answers.
