2. Key structures: — What are you going to do on Saturday morning?
— I’m going to ….

ⅥTeaching Steps
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Show some pictures of sports. Say what they are.
2. Introduce the new words and phrases with some interesting pictures..
3. Read the words after the teacher.
Step 2 Free talking
T: What’s your favourite day?
S: I like Monday .../ Saturday/Sunday/the weekend. Most of the students will say they like the weekend.
T: I like the weekend too. The weekend is coming,what are you going to do at the weekend? OK, let’s look at the picture.
Step 3 Work in pairs ,practise important sentences with pictures.
T:What are you going to do at the weekend?
S: I am going to play basketball\play the piano\...
Work in pairs , practise the dialogue one group by one group.
Aftrer practising them, most of the students can master “be going to...”
Step 4 Listening with two questions
1. Play the recording and ask the students to listen to the recording carefully.
2. Play the recording again, then they can check their answer with a partner.
Let the students master the maily idea of the dialogue.
Step 5 Read and finish the form.
1. Ask the students to read the conversation silently.
2. Play the recording and ask the students to listen and read the conversation.
Step 6 Guessing a game.
1. Showing a picture that you can’t see clearly.
T: What are you going to do ?
S1: I am going to...S2: I am going to...
2. Show the pictures to check the answers.
Each picture ,ask three students to guess.
