A letter home 教学设计 Step 1 Leading-in 1．Show the sign of United Nations Volunteer in China and ask Ss what the symbols stand for. 2.Show some pictures about what volunteers do. [设计说明]通过中国青年志愿者的标志导入，因为标志中有一个手的图形，提醒学生：志愿者常常伸出手帮助别人。通过图片展示使同学们意识到志愿者在当今社会中起着重要的作用. Step 2　Pre－reading 1．Introduce a beautiful lady Jo and show the title of the passage. 2．Show some pictures to the students and ask their impressions on Jo’s working place. Step3. Fast-reading Analyze the structure of the long letter and sum up the main idea of each part using as few words as possible. Ask volunteers to show their answers and let students choose the best one. (技巧点拨:读首句,快速把握段意,共同theme组成一部分,分析文章脉络.) Read the passage and choose the best answer.( 文章结构已清晰,快速准确找到问题的信息源,同时提高辨析题枝之间意义差异的能力.) Then show the answers. A letter home学情分析 我所任教班级学生是我校A层次的学生,经过一年半的高中英语学习,他们的基础知识积累已很丰厚, 有一定的阅读理解能力和技巧.而且我代班级一直坚持练习口语,课前Free talk, daily report 坚持的很好,所以学生敢于用英语表达,有很强的表现欲. 所以在本节课中我充分给与学生机会开口说英语. A letter home 效果
