Teaching aims: Ability aims: To develop the Ss’ reading habits, like general reading, scanning for details and how to analyze and appreciate narrative literature works (deep reading). To develop the Ss’ reading habit of making notes with key words and their oral English based on the reading material. Knowledge aims: To help the Ss master the usages of some important words, phrases and structures . Emotion aims: To develop the Ss’ interest in reading English novels by appreciating the story. To develop the Ss communicative ability through designed group and pair activities. To help the Ss draw the conclusion and understand that people tend to be cheated by our eyes. II. Difficult points: Analyzing the inner activates of the actress. III. Teaching steps: Step I. Pre-reading and introduction Show a video of robots dancing before the class begins.(3min) Ask the Ss what other purposes robots can be used for. Here, no questioning specific Ss so as to save time for reading. Present more pictures of robots for different purposes. Introduction T:If you have a robot servant in your home, what may happen? Today let’s read such a story: “Satisfaction Guaranteed”. Turn to Page 11. 【设计目的】:创设情景,激发阅读期待。导入力求简洁,以便阅读充分。 Step II. General reading 1.
