Status and function
The topic of unit 6 is “Legends and Stories. The language goal is telling stories. The first period shows the Ss a few well-known Chinese traditional stories and a series of activities are spread by the story Yu Gong Moves a Mountain.
Analysis of students
The stories in this part are well-known in China, they’re appropriate to the students’ interests, That may stimulate the students to take an active part in the class activities, but it may be difficult for the Ss to tell stories in English.

Teaching syllabus says Language is for communication. This lesson is mainly to develop their listening and speaking skills, improve their abilities of communication and thinking independently, enable them to have a strong will.
