I. Teaching contents:Reading and comprehending
II. Teaching aims:
1). Understand the general meaning of the new text to train the reading ability of the students
2). To know the importance of wildlife protction.
3). Finish the comprehending exercises after the reading passage.
4). Use scanning; skimming and careful reading to learn the travel of Daisy..

IV. Teaching procedure:.
Step I : Greetings
The teacher greet the whole class.
Step II: Words preview:
Review some key words in this period.
Step III: Fsat reading for the general idea.:
1). Teacher give students the following questions to think while reading:
Who is the character of the story?
How did she travel?
Which places did she travel to?
What animals did she visit?
(Ask the students just remember these questions in their mind and find the answers.)
Step IV: Scanning
Ask the students to scan the text and try to fill in the blanks of the chart for key words. (PPT 4)
Step VI: Careful reading Pair work.
Let the students read the text carefully and try to find some details to complete the form on PPT 5 with their partners.
Step VII: Group work.
Answer these questions below.
Why has the antelope in Tibet becomean endangered species?
2. Why are elephant numbers increasing in Zimbabwe?
3. How does the government of Zimbabwe help protect wild animals?
4. Why is it important to protect the rainforest?
5. What must be done if wildlife protection is to succeed?
(Divide all the students into 5 groups , give each group one question to answer. After they find the answer ,share with the other students. )
