Step 1:Warming up and lead-in
Ask students to answer questions and introduce themselves.

Step 2:Pre-reading
1.Ask students to make name cards for themselves.
2.Ask students to exchange their name cards and introduce other students.Show the important sentence structures on the screen.

…
3.Show two pictures about Liu Yang and David Beckham to students.Ask students to introduce them.And introduce the first name and the last name to them.
4.Introduce some students in the class and ask students to guess who they are.
5.Ask students to read the sentences in Activity 1 and put them in the correct order.

1.Teach them the new words in the passage of Activity 2.
2.Play the recording and have them listen to the tape carefully.
3.Play the tape,and let students listen and repeat.Pay attention to the pause and intonation.
4.Let students read the passage,work in pairs and find out the difficulties in the passage.Help them if necessary.
5.Explain the difficulties to the students.
6.Ask students to read the passage aloud.
Step 4:Practice
1.Have the students read the passage again.And then check(√) the true sentences.
