Module 10 The weather 教学内容:Unit 2 The weather is fine all year round. 课型:Reading and writing 教学目标: 1、能够正确使用以下单词和词组:mile, round, northwest, southeast, the best time to do sth, from time to time, compared to ,had better (not)do. 2、能够读懂介绍美国各州天气的短文,扑捉主旨大意;能找出相关的细节信息。 3、能够运用情态动词may, might 以及副词probably表达“可能〞。 4、能理解本单元出现的动词不定式的用法。 5、能正确使用连词“because〞 、“so〞和 “but〞写一篇去你家乡的最好时节并给出原因 教学重难点: 1、能够读懂介绍美国各州天气的短文。 2、能够运用情态动词may, might 以及副词probably表达“可能〞。 教学准备: 课堂整体运用任务型教学模式以及阅读课“四个阶段〞教学模式。本课指导学生通过阅读获取信息,培养学生阅读技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。因此,本节课需准备:PPT课件、挂图、录音机、课堂练习表格、奖品。 教学过程: 教学 步骤 教师活动 学生活动 设计意图 Step One Warming-up (3’) 1.Lead in Play a piece of music “Take me home country road〞 and then have a free talk with Ss: Do you like the song? What’s the weather like today? What’s the weather like in winter in your hometown? What’s the best time to visit your hometown? 1. Listen to the song: “Take me home country road〞 and answer the questions. 用一首著名的与旅行有关的乡村音乐进行热身,活泼了课堂气氛,并让学生快速进入本课的话题,然后就谈论天气引导学生回忆上节课的内容,既考验学生对Unit1知识的掌握程度,还训练了学生的反响。并在无形中培养学生大胆说英语的习惯。 Step Two Pre- reading (5’) 1.Show students the two pictures of Activity1.
