Teaching steps
Step1. Lead in:
Watch a video about Qomolangma.
T: Hello, b oys and girls. Just now we watch a wideo. Tell me what they are doing.
S1: They are cilmbing the mountain.
T: Mountain cilmbing is one of the most dangerous sports.
Step2. Presentation
1. Show a picture of people climbing a moutain. Ask:
What is the name of the mountain?
What do you know about it?
Then show the words on the screen: Qomolangma Himalayas southwestern
2. Show the dangers of Qomolangma
T: From the video, we know Qomolangma is the most dangerous mountain in the world. Why is it the most dangerous? Let’s see how dangerous it is.

3. Show the achievement of the first people.
