Unit3 What were you doing when the rainstorm came? Section A 3a-3c
1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明
本节课结合教材和学生的特点,依据新英语课程标准的要求,从激发学生的学习兴趣,丰富生活经验和提高认知水平出发,科学地整合教材，安排教学内容,合理设计教学任务,开展形式多样的教学活动,让学生跟着老师大胆实践,积极参与,共同合作交流,帮助学生在任务性的教学途径下提高语言运用能力,并逐步形成自主学习能力.
本节课教师充分发挥了引路人的作用，利用视频,实物互动等让学生轻松愉快地体会并掌握了方位介词的用法，课堂具有趣味性及高效性。
2.教学背景分析
教学内容分析：
本课时为Section A3a-3c的内容，它是在前两个课时的听说的基础上，要求结合阅读训练，来继续学习过去进行的用法，强调语言的综合运用能力。本课是有关暴风雨事件的文章，要求学生在读懂文章的同时，掌握一定的阅读技巧，并且灵活使用过去进行时。
学生情况分析：
1.知识基础：缺少丰富的语言基础，对某些任务的完成有一定的难度；
2、思维能力：有较强的记忆力和模仿能力，有待培养知识的扩展运用能力；
3、认知心理：八年级学生有较强的求知欲和表现欲，但部分学生存在不自信，羞于表现等思想顾虑。
3.教学目标分析
（一）1. 学习并掌握下列单词：storm, wind, light, report, area, wood, window, flashlight, match, beat, against, asleep, rise, fallen, apart 2. 能正确使用以下常用表达with a serious storm happening outside, make sure, fall asleep, die down, in a mess, clean up 3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式： 1）Black clouds were making the sky very dark. 2）With no light outside, it felt like midnight. 3) It was hard to have fun with a serious storm happening outside. 4. 学会过去进行时态的构成和用法。 （二）能力目标：学会运用过去进行时态，谈论过去的事情。 （三）情感态度：培养学生在困难面前互帮互助的优良品质。
4.教学重点、难点分析
重点 ：理解文章，完成各项阅读任务，学会用过去进行时谈论过去的事情。 难点 ：灵活使用过去进行时态，谈论过去的事情。
5.教学过程设计
Step1 Lead-in
Ask students what the weather is like today. Then watch a video about the rainstorm and think some words to describe the storm.
Step2 Pre-reading
Ask students the meaning of the title and find the topic sentence.
Step 3 While-reading
