Step 1 Leading-in

直接展示学校的图片,以图片和对话形式引出话题,活泼有趣直观。通过图片,建立英语表达与对象之间的直接联系,为下一环节作铺垫。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Learn the prepositions of places.
T: Please think about a question. Can you introduce the buildings in our school?
Show some pictures
T: Where is the ball?
Ss: The ball is...
设计意图:直接展示立体球与盒子的位置关系,通过老师与学生的问答,呈现本课的介词短语。
Step:3 Group work
T: Let us find where are you ? Please discuss the location of every student in each group.
Let the students tell their location .They can use the words on the blackboard. Like this :
...... Is on the left of ......
......is in front of......
...... Is between......and ......
...
S1: I’m in the middle of the classroom . I’m on the left of ....
S2: I’m near ... I’m in front of ...

设计意图:带领学生描述自己具体的位置,让学生理解和运用句型, 从而学习介词短语,不仅增加了课堂的快乐气氛,也提高了学生的学习效率。

Read and answer. Teacher divides the passage into four parts.
Ask the students to read through the passage.
Read the first part and answer the questions.
Read the second part and complete the sentences.
Read the third part and check the true sentences.
Read the fourth part and answer the questions.
Call back the answer
