Methods The SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, Xuezhikang and Jiangzhi Fugan soup groups. Except the normal group，the other rats were fed with high fatty diet for 12 weeks to induce NAFLD. After the model were established, they were treated with Jiangzhi Fugan soup, Xuezhikang and respectively. 12 weeks later，the pathological alteratio of liver tissues were examined by HE staining, the liver function was observed, the content of blood lipid was measured and the expression of TNFαwas detected by The serum levels of alanine traaminase (ALT), aspartic traaminase (AST)，total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low deity lipid protein (LDL), body weight, liver weight, hepatic index decreased in Jiangzhi Fugan soup and Xuezhikang groups (P＜, P＜) compared with model expressio of TNFα in in Jiangzhi Fugan soup and Xuezhikang groups were lower than that of model group (P＜), and the effect of Jiangzhi Fugan soup was more obvious (P＜).
