Ask students to look at the pictures of different facilities in hotels in Activity = 1 \* GB3 ① on Page 83, and match the words with the pictures: = 2 \* ROMAN II. Introduce the learning content to the students: They are going to read some passages about the facilities in hotels. Pre-reading = 1 \* ROMAN I. Present some new words on the slide. Tell the students their meanings and pronunciations. II. Ask the students to read the introduction to a hotel in Activity = 2 \* GB3 ②, and underline the facilities of the hotel. Reading practice (1) I. Ask the students to look at the four people’s pictures in Activity = 3 \* GB3 ③ on Page 84, and discuss where they can find the facility according to the passage in Activity = 2 \* GB3 ②. II. Ask the students to look at the dialogues and pictures in Activity = 4 \* GB3 ④, and guess where the dialogues are taking place. Reading practice (2) I. Explain the reading skill of scanning to the students. II. Ask the students to read the introductions to the three hotels in Activity = 5 \* GB3 ⑤ on Page 85, using the reading skill of scanning. = 3 \* ROMAN III. Explain some difficult words and phrases.
