[Abstract] Objective To evaluate the efficacy of inhaled Formoterol/ Budesonid（Symbicort） combined with respiratory rehabilitation training in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease（COPD）. Methods Two hundred and tirty-five the aged patients with stable COPD were divided randomly into the compare group（group A），Symbicort group（group B） and Symbicort combined with respiratory rehabilitation training group（group C）. The FEV1，FEV1%，FEV1/FVC，the degree of dyspnea evaluated by medical research council（MRC） dyspnea scale，body mass index（BMI） and exercise tolerance were measured before pre therapy， posttreatment fit month and posttreatment sixth months. Results The pulmonary function，the exercise tolerance and the nutrition status were significantly improved in group B and C after treatment（P＜）. Compared with group B， the degree of dyspnea， the exercise tolerance and the nutrition status were significantly improved in group C（P＜）. Conclusion The combined treatment of Symbicort and respiratory rehabilitation training in patients with COPD could improve the pulmonary function and the life quality.
