Methods The clinical data from 78 inguinal hernia patients undergoing inguinal hernioplasty by using Ultrapro Hernia System， during the period from March 2007 to March 2009， were retrospectively analyzed. Results A total of 72 patients with 78 inguinal hernias were enrolled into this study. There were 67 primary hernias， 45 oblique hernias， 16 direct hernia， 6 primary and oblique hernias， and 11 multiple were unilateral. The time was about from 25 to 55 min. The average time of operation was 32 min. All the patients had been followed-up for 12 to 32 months(average 24 months). The post-operative complicatio occurred in 25 cases of local pain， 4 cases of scrotum edema. No infection， hernia recurrence， feeling of forgn body， testis cular atrophy， pain during ejaculation and chronic pain in the inguinal area had been observed. Conclusion Ultrapro Hernia System demotrates the following advantages: reducing the limit of abdominal wall adaptability， providing enough teile strength， reducing forgn body reaction and wrinkles of the mesh and making good biocompatibility. 【Key words】 Ultrapro Hermia System;Hernia;Inguinal; Hernia repair DOI:/  1 临床资料 一般资料 本组72例患者中患腹股沟疝78次，其中男70例，女2例。年龄28~87岁，平均岁。原发疝67例，其中单侧60例，双侧7例;斜疝45例次，直疝16例次，斜疝合并直疝6例次，多发性疝11例，均为单侧，其中传统修补术后复发8例，无张力修补术后复发3例(均为平片修补Lichtetein术后)。 手术方法 手术在持续硬膜外麻醉下进行。切口及分离疝囊同普通手术相同。切开腹外斜肌腱膜后，在其下方充分游离足够大的间隙，以容纳上层补片。游离疝囊至腹膜外脂肪，提起疝囊，直疝在疝囊的基底环形切开已薄弱的腹横腱膜，进入腹膜和腹横腱
