Critics, however; argue that given the associated challenges and risks, most people would be better off remaining in their homeland. Is this opinion justifiable? People in favour of the cross-border approach have two main reasons for this view. For students, the main attraction is access to better education, often entailing unique opportunities and favourable reception in the job market. Young adults, especially those that have never lived outside of their local community, tend to appreciate other cultures mentalities and approaches to life, which can help enrich their own worldview and establish their own personal values. Other people, however, do not find the idea of moving to a foreign country appealing For couples planning to start a family, financial stability and support network are often prioritized, so they would probably not choose to settle in a new country. Similarly, many older people have stayed in the same environment, with ready access to their family and everyday things like food and language and are therefore not the keenest to adapt to a brand-new lifestyle elsewhere.
