EQ and IQ Ladies and gentlemen, good morning.Today I am very glad to share you with my ideas of EQ and IQ. Before talking about IQ and EQ ,we should make clear their definition first.IQ means Intelligence Quotient ,while EQ stands for Emotional Quotient .IQ defines how smart you are ,and EQ defines how well you use the smarts you have. we have learned some knowledge about IQ in psychology class.We know that different psychologists have different theories about IQ .Ways to measure a persons IQ are also various.Generally speaking,ordinary peoples IQ is between 90 to 109 .Some clever peoples IQ is higher than 109,and others IQ is lower than 90. I think I belong to the ordinary people .When I was in middle school and high school.I envied the students who have smart minds.Because they can understand teacherswords more efficiently and have better memories .But now,I think high IQ is no longer that important.Since I believe I can make more effort to catch up with them.Whats more,high IQ is not equal to success in study and career.Since someone doesnt make good use of his or her gift. EQ represents your ablity to discipline yourself and interact with others.A person with high EQ can live in harmony with surrouding people.Everyday ,we shoule communicate with all kinds of people and deal with variety of relationships .So a high EQ is of great importance .As for me ,I always have some problems in interacting with people .I want to expand my communicating circle but find it difficult. In conclusion,our IQ can hardly be improved now.However,we can change ourselves to improve our EQ .And Ill endevour to improve my EQ. This is the entire contents of my speech.
