I have accepted the offer of admission into the Master of Architecture at the University of New South Wales. My experience from undergraduate and practicing in architectural firm made me realize if I need further education to develop me architectural skill and professional knowledge to handle the design work in real architectural working. After I graduated from University of Liverpool in UK in July 2017,1 started my internship at Schmidt Hammer Lassen architects Shanghai Office which improved my architectural knowledge and skill in real project. I also noticed that there is still a distance between me with those colleagues who had finished there master degree oversea. Those colleagues who has an over sea education experience of master degree showed more professional skills. They also have wider vision when there is needs in design process. All the experience and advice indicate me to continue my architectural education. China is one of the popular country where many architectural companies from all over the world gathered. However, when opportunities come, the competition between local company with foreign architectural company indicates that we still need to get further improvement to strength core competence. The combination of international views with vernacular culture is getting important in the future. After comprehensive research and considering, I have decided to apply for the admission to the University of New South Wales. The advanced and international setting in the postgraduate program attracts me. On the other hand, the high ranking of University of New South Wales in architecture shows its comprehensive system of education and strong academic atmosphere.
