Unit 3 What would you like? Read and write Teaching contents: words: dear , onion Sentence patterns: I don’t like ...but I like ... Teaching aims: ·Enable the students to listen, say and read the words. ·Help the students to know how to ask food if they don’t know something ·Let the students grasp the connecting between phonemes and letters ·Enhance students’ don’t waste food. Analyze the contents: The characteristic of this chapter is that it lead students to use the language, communicate with others; help the students to learn how to learn; attach importance to the interest of the students. The content of this lesson is mainly about the food. And there are many different kinds of food. It is close to the students life experience. “I don’t like...but I like...? ” are the main sentence pattern of this lesson. It’s a good way for us to understand the unknown things. Through the study of this lesson, students will know how to describe their favourite food. Analyze the students: The students in Grade Five have learned English for two years. They have developed basic skills of listening, speaking ,reading and writing. And they have formed a good habit of learning English. Active, restless and enthusiasm are their nature. They eager to experience the new things. And they like doing something interesting. But they also need a hand to help them to develop the learning method.For example, to teach them how to read a word and recite a word and so on. This lesson is about food. They are familiar with the food. I use the letter to set a situation. I think they will be interested in it.
