Guangdong has initially formed a relatively complete chip industrial chain. The design industry has obvious advantages like the manufacturing industry capacity is not high, the packaging test industry has a certain foundation, the basic innovation ability constantly reinforce, and the demand of product import is strong. The chip industrial chain has some problems, such as high-end chips rely on imports, and the independent industrial ecosystem has not yet been established. At last, proposing to promote the development model of the chip industry including market-driven industry selection, shared IDM production organization, research organization the scientifi c research organization model of government-industry-university-research, market cultivation model of industrial ecology, and open technical cooperation development model.
