Step 3 While-task
Activity 1 Fast reading.
Read to get the main idea of each paragraph and summarize the structure of it.
Para 1: Unhealthy food and drink for children.
Para 2: Healthy food and drink for children.
Para 3: How to eat well, stay healthy and not get fat.
Activity 2 Careful reading.
Read the passage again and answer the following questions.
1. Find out two unhealthy habits.
2. List at least 3 healthy eating and drinking habits.
Activity 3 Read the passage and complete the table.
Finish the table on Page 23.
Activity 4 Retell.
Retell the passage according to the PPT.
Step 4 Post-task
Activity 1 Join these sentences with but.
1. Juice is a healthy drink. Cola isn’t a healthy drink.
2. Noodles are healthy food. Hamburgers aren’t healthy food.
3. Meat, vegetables and fruit are healthy food. Cola, ice cream and hamburgers aren’t healthy food and drink.
4. Chocolate is delicious. Too much chocolate isn’t good for you.
Activity 2 Group work.
