AbstractObjective:Toinvestigateanewmethodorbloodtypinginpatientswithhightitercoldagglutinin.

Method:Inordertoclearthecoldantibodyinredcellmembraneandserum,heatedscrubandcoldantibodyab-

sorptionwereusedinthepatientswithcontradictionbetweencellstypingandseratypingcausedbyhightitercold

antibody.Bloodtypingbysalinemediumandmicrocolumntechnolique,combinedwithPolybrinecrossmatching,

werecarriedoutbeorebloodtransusiontimelyandaccurately.Result:Thecontradictionbetweencellstypingand

seratypingcausedbyhightitercoldagglutininwasoundinthreepatients(twomalignantlymphomas,onesystem-

iclupuserythematosus)whohadstrongagglutinationinpositiveandnegativebloodtypingandstrongpositivein

irregularantibodytest.Atertheseredcellswereheatedscrubedat37℃andcoldabsorbedat4℃,thebloodgroup

oonepatientwasidentiiedasRh(+),OtypeandtheothertwowereindentiiedasABtypeandnegativeinir-
